These Crane Wing post Earrings feature a unique view of a crane. They are sterling silver with a garnet stone. They measure  1" x 3/8". The earposts are located at the top of the wing just below the crane's neck.

The inspiration for this design happened for Judie when "One fall I went to DenaIi Park and saw a kettle (flock) of cranes numbering in the thousands, swirling upwards on the thermals, it was a breath taking sight."

Matching necklace available.

Judie Gumm is a noted jewelry designer from Ester, Alaska where she has been designing and manufacturing jewelry since 1970. She is recognized for her Alaskan nature designs, combining sterling silver and semiprecious stones in designs which feature birds, fruits, berries and animals found in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. All the designs are lost wax castings, made in Alaska.

Born in upstate New York, JUDIE GUMM settled in Alaska in 1972. Largely self taught she has been designing jewelry for over 30 years working almost exclusively with precious metals in the lost wax technique. Her work is carried in fine gift stores and galleries throughout Alaska and the Lower 48 states. She currently lives and works in Ester, a small community nestled in the birch covered hills eight miles south of Fairbanks, Alaska where her showroom is open to the public.

"I draw inspiration from Nature's own wealth of imagery. I am particularly drawn to capture animals and plants which have a whimsical theme or romantic symbolism. This often challenges me to find that perfect bead or stone which complements the design in a meaningful way."
