GARY GINTHER is a native of Nebraska, born and raised in McCook. He moved to the mountains of Colorado and was a guide for fishermen, hunters, and wildlife photographers. A self-taught artist, Gary has developed an unusually refined style of sculpture which has won him awards and acclaim in both national and international art exhibitions. He has created and sold sculptures to a diverse clientele: private collectors, public corporations, and academic institutions, and even Universal Studios in Hollywood. He has also provided artwork for charitable institutions such as Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society, Rocky Mountain Goats, The Clark County Public Education Foundation, Kearney Gold Benefit Auction, Audubon Society, Earth Science Museum, and Brigham Young University
Gary has created an array of small and large statues and pins that artistically capture the beauty of the crane. Unlike many artist of this type, Mr. Ginther handles every part of production including hand sculpting each piece, production of the mold and casting and finishing each piece. This hands on process ensures that each piece fully captures his vision.
